Bistra Castle
Some facts about Bistra castle:
“The estate of Bistra is located in the southwestern part of the Ljubljana Marshes, in the vicinity of the town of Vrhnika. It was named after the Bistra brook, a tributary of the Ljubljanica river with several karst sources. Situated by the brook is Bistra Castle, which houses the Technical Museum of Slovenia. In the past it was the home of Carthusian monks, built by the Carinthian Duke Bernhard of Spannheim in 1255. In the 17th century, it housed a monks’ school and a library, which kept numerous valuable manuscripts.
Situated at the confluence of the Bistra brook and the Ljubljanica river are an old Venetian sawmill and a veneer sawmill, and on the Bistra brook a reconstruction of an old forge with a large mechanical sledgehammer, one of the last of its size preserved in Slovenia. By the Castle there is a vast park with a fish pond and on the hill above the castle a nature trail.”

Ukrainian roads in Ljubljana
When husbands work for construction companies in Germany, wives are at home taking care of the babies. Once, or maybe twice a year, the husbands come home and after the… …well, we won’t go into the details, but then the whole family can go for a nice walk around the village.
Well, this is not the case (but it could be), as the husband works in Slovenia and comes home every day.
Those pictures were taken in Ljubljana (Vič/Dolgi most).

When I was taking this picture, someone came to me, he looked like a janitor but I think he was the priest, and very rudely asked me to stop taking photos. I asked him “why”, and his answer was really strange: “if these pictures end up on a calendar, I will hear it…”.
From who? The God?
So I stopped taking pictures, went home to my computer and started modifying what I got.

Koper (city)
Did you miss me? Of course you did.
I had 2 exams last week and I passed them both. Now I have time to post something on my blog.
Today’s theme is Koper and its “glamor”.

Frosty Ljbljana
Ljubljana is known as foggy city and in winter is like most other capitals, boring and sleepy. But if you go on Ljubljana Castle is completely different story, the sky is blue and sun is shining.

Prednovoletna Ljubljana (slike)
Vsako leto je Ljubljana okrašena in mislim da je letos najslabše.
Kongresnega trga NI (arheologi kopljejo po njem), ob Ljubljanici je bolj klavrno, kuhano vino je mešano z vodo (kot vedno), na Prešernov trg so dali nove okraske v obliki geometrijskih teles ter nekaj okraskov od lanskega leta, proti trnovem pa so okraski, ki so jih delali v osnovni šoli Vrhovc, Poljane in še kje verjetno. Ali je res recesija toliko pritisnila, da niso mogli okrasit celega starega dela Ljubljane enako, ali pa je to le malomarnost. Tudi vzdušje se mi ne zdi decembersko. Mogoče tudi ker še ni snega, ali nas pa vedno več raje ostaja doma in nam božič in novo leto ne pomenita več kot še en dan več.
